you could trim to limit size but you'd maybe be better considering bending it rather than pruning

flowering should occur naturally with the shortening of days

pre-flowers can appear as soon as 3 weeks from planting,just gotta know what to look for

Now supposing I started at beginning of may with a mixed indica/ sativa hybrid. 1) is it reasonable to prune to limit size - if so how is this best done? 2) Will I have to enforce flowering by limiting the sunlight? 3) when is the earliest I can find out if male or female? 4) has anyone experience of caramella? 5) any growing tips??
