Well, for starters, there are far more younger Tool fans than older ones, at least the way I see it....hmmm why is that?? Oh yeah, because all those twenty-something post-Tool fans have moved onto BETTER music....at least I hope.

I say it's a phase because, and again this is only my opinion, Tool is this stale modern rock group responsible for their "dark" following of high school kids who in all likeliness just want to belong to something. To say "hey man, I like Tool, so I'm cool." I'm not saying you are like that, but God knows I know people like this.

And honestly dude, their technical ability really does nothing for me. The chords they play aren't anything to drool over, and for me, it has to be both progressive AND innovative ya know? I've tried giving Tool a listen more than a couple times, and it was just hell for my ears.

I like bands that are not only amazing musicians, but a fun band to see live. I'm not saying Tool's not fun to see live, because I've heard their light shows are out of this world, but I AM saying they aren't anymore talented than, say.....Abba. Hahaha.
