If you had an abssessed tooth, you'd know bro. Just imagine someone being inside of your tooth, grinding the inside of your tooth with a pin, and trying to escape through your gums. In other words, you'd be in a tremendous amount of pain.

You just have a sore gum. Could be from lack of brushing, or brushing your teeth too hard. Stop poking at it, and take it easy when brushing on that area, or if you haven't been brushing your teeth at all or not good enough, it could be plaque and bacteria building on there.

When you have an abssessed tooth, you'll know it, but if it does get worse, then go see a dentist, but poking and pushing on it will just irritate it more.
