definitely the way to go man, it can get pretty intense when you're close to your black belt, most people I know quit at this time. But if you stick with it, its very rewarding. If you actually want to learn how to defend yourself and fight, make sure you go to a real martial arts school, not something that uses the martial arts name to disguise classes for people to just work out. Two different things. Good luck though
bobthenuker Reviewed by bobthenuker on . I'm going to learn Karate :) Don't laugh. lol Seriously, I really want to learn a martial art. I'm not a violent person, but I want to be able to defend myself to a certain degree, and I'm also very interesting in learning to discipline myself and keep myself in shape. I don't seem to be very good at doing it of my own volition, so I'm hoping that learning Karate will help. I've done some online research and spoken to a friend of mine (who is a something-or-other-belt at Karate and Jujitsu) and he says it's a great Rating: 5
