Think these are different strains?

Ok, granted this is my 1st grow, and it's from the same buy of bag weed with seed, but these are more and more starting to look like they could be different strains?

I assume it's possible for 2 different strains of males to knock up a single female and therefore produce mixed seeds?

Possible? Probable? You think they are the same strain?

lol blazinit and yea the 1 in the bottom right is a lil skinnyer and looks more like an indica than sativa strain...and i am not a good judge kuzz ima lil new to the whole thing but what are thriches or however u spell it...???

its possible you may have two different strains in the same bag. It is not uncommon for dealers to throw in some chronic and some lesser quality stuff so that the bag weighs ok but has less good weed in it. But then again, it would have to be some schwag if it had seeds in it in the first place let alone two different strains having seeds. I'm sure the stuff you grew was 10x the bag it came from.

It's hard to tell if they are different strains. All I know is that some of them look pretty well off, and a few others look like they have some sort of deficiency. If they all perked up and were healthy, then it might be easier to tell what species is dominant by the structure of the plant. The leaves are pretty wide as of now, though. Looks indica. They all kind of do.

Edit: Oops, I only looked at your first post on the grow log. Some of those seedlings looked a bit unhealthy. But as I looked further down, they looked healthier. To me it all looks pretty much the same, but it's hard to tell. Definitely indica dominant strains... all of them. It would be safe to assume they are the same strain, especially if the weed you got the seeds from all gave the same kind of buzz.

Yes a female can get knocked up by as many different males as there are receptor sites!!!
Also, even if the female is knocked up by the SAME male, and the two plants are different enough that the offspring are F1 hybrids (so the femal and male were not from the same IBL) remember your punnet squares from Biology class, you will end up wtih 3 different pairs of genes FOR EACH TRAIT! like AA, Aa, and aa. If 'A' is dominant and 'a' is the recessive counterpart, you get 1/4 homozygous dominant, 2/4 heterozygous dominant, and 1/4 homozygous recessive- shich is the only one to display the recessive trait. I mean, even look at the variation in markings and coat color in a litter of mixed breed puppies!

It makes sense about the variations in the offspring dealing with genes, i'd buy that explanation.

yeah, what stinky said. i still get variations of plants even though they are the same seeds that ive had for a few yrs. karma, you dont have enough posts yet to put on a signature, look under forum home and there is an area there that the mods have put these answers in.
