I found an insane way to give my cats a job. . .
True there are pathogens that will thrive in a steaming pile of cat shit. But I have to scoop it out of the litter box anyways, I may as well toss it on a compost pile instead of the trash. I would think the organisms breaking down the compost pile would kick the shit out of the pathogen given time. When it's fully composted, I can see no real risk to my own health.

If yer gonna compost it, no prob... just make sure it cooks for a while .
I assume you understand that we have options on your time,
And we will ditch you in the harbour if we must-
But if it all works out nicely,
You\'ll get the bonus you deserve
From doctors we trust.

no way cat poo is worth fukin with but
collecting the cats' table scraps for the compost may be the ticket. Lots of nutrients in the seafood and poultry diet cats have.
