    Not a stupid question at all, as I wasn't very specific. The man I spoke of is Mr. Alan Watts ( http://www.alanwatts.com/ ), the late theologian and interpreter of eastern philosophies, among other things.

    He wrote a very interesting essay which delves deeply into his own personal experiences with psychedelics and discusses their relationship to spirituality, called The New Alchemy. I'd recommend it to anyone who uses psychoactives or is interested in using them for spiritual purposes, as well as to anyone who questions the use of psychoactives for such purposes. Very good read.
