Bud leaves starting to brown

Afternoon wise ones

My lovely buds (about 5 weeks into 12/12) are looking healthy, however the small fan leaves errupting from them are browing and dying off which is most saddening and makes me think I'm loosing my tri-chromes.
From what I read, may just be path of the course = the buds are sucking goodness from the leaves...but this much?
Or magnesium deficiency?
Really bad photo attached - photo phones really arenot all that.
