I accepted the charge but I was wrongly convicted. Is there anything I can do?
I would say that it was a violation of the Fifth Amendment and tell you to contact the ACLU, but alas, you do not live in America. English law is a complete mystery to me.
If there is any law in England similar to the Fifth Amendment ("You have the right not to incriminate yourself."), then I would go with that defence, say they came - unannounced and without warrant - onto private property, and verbally coerced you into admitting guilt. Not a perfect defence, entirely, but the part about private property should - I think - be the main focus of your defence.ThePeacockNamethTom Reviewed by ThePeacockNamethTom on . I accepted the charge but I was wrongly convicted. Is there anything I can do? I was riding a mini moto and in the place they caught us, sent a helicopter n 2 police vans. Me and 5 friends got arrested for the night and we all accepted the charge. But they arrested us for not having driving documents seeing as we were in a public place. But my friends dad is in quite high places and told us at dusk the place is classed as private, but we didnt know that when we accepted the charge. Cant I do anything about this?
