Kush is pretty much a set of strains that are derived from strains that originated in the Hindu Kush mountains. There is a strain called Hindu Kush. Also, they are found a lot in hash-making countries. They're pure indica strains, except for the hybrids which are crosses that contain Kush genetics. But I've noticed that in some places "Kush" is just slang for "good weed." It is good weed if grown under optimum conditions. I'm sure you did get stoned pretty fast . Gotta love those indicas.

Well, he says it got him stoned, which leads me to believe he's speaking of a strong body stone. Stoned is what real Kush would get you. But you're right, it could be any weed that has dominant indica genes.

MyMARYJANE, perhaps you could give us a smoke report?

But I guess it does not matter if it is real Kush or not, considering the fact that it got you stoned very well .

    I grow Hindu Kush.
It does not have an unusual or distinctive appearance, but the smell while growing is out of this world. It hardly smells like weed, more like a beautiful fruity perfume. The plant has good yield too. An old friend, smelling my HK that is 3 days from harvest, was like, DAMN can I get cuts of this? It's the first strain I have ever grown that he has shown any interest in growing himself. So I give it a big 2 thumbs up.

i have some medical master and OG kush here; it's primarily indica; i'm looking to get a bubba kush clone soon to grow myself

generally kush has a heavy indica stone, but as mentioned above, you have the same problems as you do with "hydro" or "purple haze" or any of that foolishness where a name like "kush" could be used for just any good weed

still, i think that most of the time when folks here in cali are getting "kush" they're probably getting the real thing; it's grown a lot down here

that being said, "kush" is not a strain; hindu kush, bubba kush, master, OG, blah blah blah those are strains, you could ask what type of kush it is

    Here's some Kush pics!!!
The big plant is a Hindu Kush about a day from harvest- she is coming down tonight, yumm-ay.
The smaller plants, one of them is an OG Kush future mother plant that is getting started on training to produce maximum cloneable shoots. I'm not sure if you can see the labels because the pic is blurry, but she's the one in the foreground.

Most kushes are very strong indicas, great resin production, heavy compact buds. Shorter bushy plants [as with almost ALL indicas]
