    You can't kill an idealism

The one thing I truly don't understand with this Iraq kerfuffle is why those in power think its possible to kill every single terrorist. Like a game of space invaders, they expect to sweep the whole country, taking them all out one at a time until they're all gone. Alright! You win. Time to go home.

The fact is, the taliban will never die. Idealisms are passed on, however many insurgents you can nuke and how fast isn't a factor. For every family man/women/child the troops take out, I would almost imagine they single handedly converted a whole bunch of other, maybe even previously peaceful Iraqis into fighting for the cause. It's a good enough fuckin' reason in my eyes.

It is an insane world we live in when the answer to every global conflict is kill, kill, kill. Every side is as bloodthirsty as eachother. I'm not gonna beat around the bush, like pretty much everyone on the planet, i'm unable to come up with a decent solution to the problem of terrorism. I think it is impossible at this stage. It doesn't hurt however, to point out that nuking an entire country in the hope of defeating a centuries old idealism through process of elimination of it's inhabitants, is, for lack of a better word, completely insane.

Take a football game..........if you knock out key players it makes the other team weaker......keep knocking out enough men and they can't play.

What do ya do when a preditor like a wolf starts to esculate attacks on livestock? You reduce its numbers..........

No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.

I totally agree that we can't stomp out this element completely but we sure can keep the numbers down. If your a farmer with a wolf problem you thin out the wolf pack reducing livestock kill.........same thing.

The news and "some" in here just LOVE to post up on the number of U.S. soldiers dead but how many of the insurgent/terrorists are visiting with Allah now?

I nearly said those numbers are irellevant, that was the fool-arse liberal beeyatch coming out. Close call!

The thing is, while trying my best to refrain from prioritising figures, the US toll is more of a factor than the Iraqi toll in such an argument. Of course your wasting a fuckload of them everyday, how could you not? That much is certain. In fact, your so ahead of yourself, your taking out the civilians too, good job there Uncle Sam :wtf:. It comes down to the lost cause of the strategy. Sure, you can kill 'em, kill hundreds every day, but your still so, so far away from making the difference your supposed to be making. It's not a video game, these people have values and virtues of their own, and they won't die with them. That's not how shit works, and never has. There is no supreme commander or dictator to take down, just loads of sweaty, hateful psychotics following an idealism that is HUGE and neverending. When it is clear that die hard, air-punching political sheep have their mind made up that the psychotic approach is most effective, the best you can do is show them the harm it does to your own side. There has been no development in Bush's cause since day one, what else is there to do but remind you that he is doing more harm than good to his own people, more than any filthy, penniless insurgent nutjob could.

No, it's not the same thing. Jesus Christ. That is such an unrealistic approach to take.
