    smoking before bed

I usually smoke every night about an hour before I go to bed, it helps me sleep better. But this week I had the first night in a long time without smoking before bed and I just couldnt get to sleep. I layed in my bed awake until 2am before I fell asleep. Does anyone else find that they need to smoke in order to fall asleep?

Something I can relate with. I have smoked before bed for many years. It feels like when I am under anesteshia. One minute I am awake, then I'm not, then I wake up. The only thing I have noticed tho is that during that time I don't dream. I can't think of a dreamstate that I can relate to for many years now. For me this isn't something that alarms me because my mind is constantly thinking, and it is very restful to not have to be thinking or having my mind going in so many directions like it does. I am wondering if smoking is what has brought me to this point, not dreaming. Before I would be plagued with nightmares,so this not dreaming is blessed release.

One time after smoking I remember trying to fall asleep, and a paralyzing fear came over me.I could remember how to exhale, but couldn't trust myself to inhale.I had to force myself to inhale.I thought if I fell asleep,I could not be trusted to inhale without my reminding myself to.So I warred within myself to stay awake, and slipping into,I don't know what.

wow man, you should seriously think to stop weed!
i smoke a bit before sleeping most of the time but i can still sleep if i dont smoke. thats a bad routine cauz if 1 day u dont have weed, your like insomniac. anyway, slow down on weed highanxieties. some people just dont support the effects of cannabis.

I used to smoke a bowl every night before I went to bed, without I just wouldn't be tired, I wouldn't get to sleep untill 4 or 5 in the morning. Then a while ago I had this incredibly enlightening 'shroom trip, and that night, I packed a bowl, and was about to blaze it when I realized I just didn't really want to smoke. So I went to bed, and fell asleep with no troubles, and haven't had any troubles getting to sleep without it since. Although a couple of nights ago I had friend visiting, and we got pretty high, I was still quite stoned when I went to sleep. I had an experience almost exactly like Highanxieties described, except I wasn't terrified of falling asleep, just nervous about whether or not I would remember to breathe.

Weed does helps me sleep. I smoke about a half hour before bed. I been doin it for a bit so I'm used to it. I find it to be sort of a muscle relaxer for me. With my mind fucked up and muscles relaxed...I fall asleep when I hit the pillow.
MY CLOCK\'S STOPPED AT 4:20... WHAT U WANT ME TO SAY? imp:
