Help Legalize Weed!!!

Hey yall, I was wondering how about we try and legalize weed. Ok, so what if president bush got on t.v. and said that if America was to lose 75 million pounds from 2008 to 2009 (365 days). Would you join in to do lose pounds?:thumbsup:If we all had to go sign up online and keep an accurate update (no lying) would you do it? Maybe if we get this thing big enough we could send it to the governor and get it legalized in the US, so lets get this very big and get our chances of getting it legalized up, so spread this to all your friends and post it here!

Fortunately, Bush will not be president in 2008. Also, I don't think anyone would legalize it if people became thin. They don't care how fat or skinny anybody is. Police stations get money from the drug war, because they bust people transporting drug money, and take the money for the station, for themselves, and to help pay cops. That is just one reason that I believe that it's illegal in the U.S. There are many other reasons, of course... and they're all unjust and ridiculous. Let's put it this way: If people weren't making money by keeping it illegal, there'd be no reason to not make it legal. Even if everyone still believed it was really bad, it would be legalized if nobody profited off of the drug war (think: cigarettes are legal, and they don't even get you high!). I went off-topic a bit--let me go back on-topic.

You cannot bargain with the federal government in this way. They don't give a damn if shitloads of citizens lost weight for the sake of legalizing Cannabis. What you're saying is pointless, but I'm glad you're stoked about the possibility of getting it legalized--WE ALL ARE TOO! Just realize that there is more support for Cannabis in the U.S. than ever before. More and more states are making medical cannabis legal every year... many states have decriminalized it as well. California, Colorado, and Alaska are basically weed smoking havens now. Hopefully we won't need a "haven" anymore, and it will be legalized everywhere--for more than just medicinal needs, but recreational wants as well! I'm sure your state has a NORML chapter. Hopefully they're fighting for legalization in your state. I think if a majority of states legalize by state-wide law, that the feds would have too much of a hard time controlling it.

All you have to do is hope, pray, and spread the good word of cannabis. That is how this must be done. Everyone needs to work at getting people to know the truths! Personally, I think NORML should make a commercial, stating the truths of cannabis, which would contradict the AboveTheInfluence commercials which really have no arguments against it anymore other than "you shouldn't do it, cuz people will leave you and not respect you!"

Once most people realize the truths, there will be more votes for legalization on the ballots than votes against it. Find creative ways to spread the word so that people will listen, and not think you're just some crazy pothead (people who think it's bad will think you're a crazy pothead, and disregard you because they believe we are intellectually inferior--but the truth is, they are the ones who are brainwashed).

do you guys think that popular people like rappers could make weed legalized real fast? i mean everyone watches MTV/MTV2/MTVJAMS etc.. people would listen to them since soooo many people look up to rappers and like them and all that stuff.. rappers could get the word out on TV so evvvvveryone could hear the absolute TRUTH about how weed isn't harmful and all the MANY medical benefits it has! tobacco/alcohol=death.. marijuana=no deaths.. so people and mostly strict adults can kno the truth and wise up, cause i think this whole marijuana thing being illegal is getting completely ridiculous now..

Lol. I know some people who only started smoking weed because rappers do. No politician is going to listen to rappers. No up-tight evangelistic mother of four is going to believe a word that a rapper says on TV... in fact, lately the media has been talking down on rappers. Don't get me wrong, I like some rap, not the mainstream stuff, but that's beside the point. It needs to be someone reputable towards the government.

Cannabis being illegal is ridiculous, and always has been. Don't worry, some day it will be. I know that it definitely will be. Maybe not in the near future, or in 20 years... but it will be some day! Just keep spreading the word. Bring up conversations with people about it, and see their viewpoint on it. Don't try to force your ideas on them, but just tell them about it in a casual, unoffensive way. This is how it has to be done, because protests obviously don't mean shit nowadays.

HELP LEGALIZE WEED INDEED! If you want cannabis legalized, try actually doing something about it and be an activist. Spread the seeds of truth and be certain that it's the truth you spread and not false info or heresay. That will help dispell the propaganda and lies. We wouldn't want to fight this war against us without good research and knowledge and a network of allies and information. Try getting involved with an organization such as:
