Another "is it a male" question

Hello everyone from the new guy. Have two questions.

This is my first grow. Just at the end of the first week of 12/12 in a hydro set up. The strain I'm growing is a Indica mix of NL & Skunk.

So from the pictures, would you say this is a male or is it too soon to say. From the pictures I have seen in searches it doesn't seem quite like the classic male appearence.

My second question. I got the seeds by going over into Canada. I'm a bit paronoid about doing the mail order thing so it isn't an option at this time.

So, if this is a male, is it a completely stupid idea to let it go and sacrifice herb quality just to have a supply of seeds? I do plan on cloning in the future once I have built my confidence up on the growing part, but it would be nice to have a suppliy of seeds as a back up.

    Thanks

I'm assuming you have other plants not just that one right? I can't tell from the photos if it's a male or not....I'd call too soon to say but that's just me.
If you do like the strain you are growing then sure let them go and get some seeds from them.

Too soon for a sure verdict but you will know in a couple of days. Beefy looking plant btw.

Oh as for seeds, if it's a male, save the pollen, mix with flour, stick in the feezer in something airtight, and you can pollinate ONE branch of your favorite female (do this in a paper sandwich bag and then let it sit for a day, then mist inside with water before removing the bag) and you will have all the seeds you will need.

Another "is it a male" question

    Thanks to all who responded.

Just an update. As you can see by the pic's, yes it's a male. Pretty much thought so since of the 5 plants it was the only one with the those little thingys. Now almost a week later the answer is much clearer.

I have decided not to cut it down for a couple reasons. The main one is I do want a supply of seeds. Of the ten pack I got the first five turned out 4:1 female. Since there are no guarantees that the next five won't be all male (even though unlikely), I don't really want to have to do the border thing again so soon. Once this grow is done I'll scrub down the area. Now that I know what to look for with this strain I will chop it down on the next.

All and all this first grow has been a good experience and I'm looking forward to the next.
