Syria's President Bashar Assad overwhelmingly wins second term in vote with no oppone

DAMASCUS, Syria -- President Bashar Assad won another seven years in office, getting 97 percent of the vote in a referendum on his leadership in which he was the only candidate, according to results announced Tuesday.

The United States sarcastically noted Assad's "ability to have defeated exactly zero other candidates."

Assad's regime is under intense international scrutiny, accused of meddling in Iraq, supporting Palestinian militant groups, and involvement in the assassination of Lebanon's former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri in 2005. Under his rule, Syrian troops were forced to withdraw from Lebanon following an outcry over Hariri's killing.

Still hundreds of thousands of Syrians in white caps and T-shirts bearing Assad's picture beat drums and danced in the streets of Damascus to celebrate the result. They also swarmed outside the presidential palace to congratulate the president.

Victory celebrations in Syria have been going on ever since parliament, which is dominated by a pro-government Baathist coalition, unanimously nominated the 42-year-old leader on May 10 for another term.

Interior Minister Bassam Abdul-Majid said 95 percent of the country's almost 12 million voters turned out at the polls in Sunday's presidential vote. Only 19,635 voters said "no" to Assad's re-election, while 253,000 ballots were considered invalid.

Oh please. Do you people sincerely believe we have REAL elections here in the United States? First, ALL mainstream canidates are selected by the elite before they're "elected" by you. Hence the fact the mainstream media (which CNN and foxnews admit they have, or had US psychological warfare experts working in their newsrooms)
consistantly overload us with giuliani, mccain, romney, clinton, obama etc. It is all about conditioning us to accept their puppets. Meanwhile they viciously ignore the legit canidates, or when forced to bring them up due to winning every major poll (Ron Paul) they trash, or degrade them, and claim that indiviuals are "messing" with the polls. They also tried to get him kicked out of the debates.

Let's just take a look back at the 2004 "election". First, both canidates John Kerry and George W Bush are part of Yale's secret society "Skull and Bones". This secret satanic society initiates 15 members each year. Which means there is roughly 800 living members right now. However, we couldn't even get one canidate that wasn't from that group. On top of that, they are distant cousins!!!! But hey, don't let me drag you down! any man or woman can be president!

That being said, left and right now of days are merely two sides of the same coin. Let's examine the policies of George W Bush and John Kerry- they both were for overspending, illegal immigration, gun control, nafta and gatt, foreign aid, they both believe in the welfare state just differences in degree, both for the patriot act, both voted for the war. The two political parties have pratically coincided, yet the left and right are mo devided than ever.

However, they do like to get a certain "canidate" in office, as it helps sell the left/right illusion. Which is why the presidental elections are all stolen if it isn't a clear landside. They now admit that Ohio was stolen, Hell, election officals were even convicted for rigging the 2004 presidental recount. Doesn't make the CFR dominated mainstream media though (David Rockefeller openly admits the CFR and his banker buddies set the mainstream media agenda)

In 2008 Hillary will be the next president, as it is time to pass the baton to the liberals. The country is being destroyed before our very eyes people, it is time to wake up and shatter this left/right paradigm

SYRIAN DICTATOR HOLDS FAKE ELECTION.............."well, Gore lost in 2000." What a joke! I think your Canadian butt would be safer walking the streets of D.C. than Damascus but hey, anything it takes to bash the Big Dog. If the proverbial shit hits the roof I hope our leaders remember who our allies really are.
