I think that the decision to serve your country is a more personal one, like a feeling of duty, followed by the need for and education and seeing the world, and the other payoffs- money, weed, lol!- are kind of secondary.

I think we're assuming it would only be legal if you served, as a reward.


I think it would be a nice incentive, definately help with the stress of warfare and all, but in and of itself it's not enough to convince me to join, what with the being shot at and all. Though you'd swear by the recruitment ads the military is nothing by climbing cliffs, jumping out of airplanes, and enthusiastic groups of young soldiers yelling "yeah!" during teamwork.
