Parts of leaves look washed out

    Hello!

So a few of my 2 week old plants have leaves that look a little washed out in parts around the edges. From my reading I THINK it looks like too much or not enough water? I don't think it's too much water because I try not to drown them, when I do water there is just a very faint trickle of water out the bottom of the pots, if any at all, but they do get a decent amount.
I picked up some Superthrive yesterday and mixed it in a gallon of water and used the whole gallon on all the plants, there was definat draining this time as I wanted to make sure it wasen't an under watering issue with the leaves and I also wanted to make sure they all got some ST.

The picture isn't the best, I can do better if need be.

    Thanks!

I'm not seeing what you call washed out, but several of those are showing Mg deficiency. Are you using RO water? If so,ya need some Cal-Mag+. You should really give more info when u have a prob. Like what is the environment like, how often you water, what nutes you use and how often you use them, what kind of water, pH of water, pH of runoff, what kind of light and how close, etc. But, Mg would be my guess from the info provided.

Yeah the pic wasen't the best, I'll see if I can do it better at lunch maybe.
Stinky, I really do hope all is well, but just in case you can't see what I mean, I'll post another pic that really shows the issue. Thank you though.

    As for environment.
    In a 4'W X 3'D X 2.5'H Box.
    (5) 24 watt CFL
    (2) 42 watt CFL
(80%) Black Gold non nute soil
    (10%) MG Moisture Control soil
    (10%) Perlite

    24 Hours Light

Average Cab temp is around 80f with fluctation between 75 and 83.

    Ventilation is 4", I'd guess 70-90 CFM.

PH (if my spanky new meter is correct) of soil & water is around 7.
I use tap water that sits out a couple of days before use.

Just added Superthrive to the mix last night. No nutes besides the 10% of MG soil.

    Thanks again!

Well it sounds like your conditions are good, and your soil is good (personally I go heavier on perlite but it's not super twitchy as long as you don't see signs of soil swamp, lol) and all that.
You will be ready to start on nutes any time now. Like now even. But start out lightly, at half strength.
Keep an eye on that pH and make sure it doesn't go any higher, or give it a check after you mix your plant food. 7 is a little up there but if I am not mistaken that black gold is below 7 so no worries.

Ok good, thank you. I will reread what I've read, and make a list of Nutes to pick-up. You'd think I would have written it down by now, lol.

Here are some other pics, seems I might need to clean the lens on the camera.

There's definitely something a little odd going on there but it looks more like either a variegation in pigment, or if anything, you need some more calcium. My PPP that I got from Demeter has variegated leaves on some branches even though it is the picture of health. It won't hurt to pick up some calmag though.

    That's what I'll do then.
And yeah, the plants all seem pretty healthy, they already like the ST from last night, stalks are all nice and thick and green, but about 5-6 of the 8 have that "issue" with a few of the leaves.

We'll give the nutes a go and watch what happens.

    Thank you much, Stinky!
