    What to do

Im starting my plants indoors and then transplanting them outside i was wondering if it would be better to use my own soil and transplant them into a 5 gallon bucket and put that outside or just put them straight in the soil. Thanks for the help.

    What to do

I would say that it is better to put the plant directly into the soil as it is not bound by any pot and the roots can grow as much as they'd like. Be sure the soil is not just soil from your backyard.

If you transplant your little fella outdoors while it is still small, you may want to cover it with something such as a 2 litre bottle that can fit over it if a storm is approaching or high winds.

i would put it in the ground too, save on watering and let the roots do what they want. dig a nice big hole and mix in compost, peat, your potting soil and whatever other good stuff you have with the dirt that is already there. unless you think you might have to move it, then a bucket would be a good idea, but more noticable.
