ok, enough is enough. From what we know, it IS possible that my bubbler is making negative ions. I believe 100% that it's making it, but anyone else who hasn't actually tried it shouldn't just rule it out. I rule out ozone, with the indisputable facts from emo, and appreciate his pointing out my wrongs. BUT, let's just say, it IS possible that negative ions are being produced, not ozone, or try the "experiment" yourself, and leave it at that.
