bubbler makes ozone?
Ozone seems slightly likely in the situation, but negative ions seems highly likely. Both have very simliar, if not the same smell. One or the other is being created. You're just a stubborn mule about it, almost a troll about the subject at this point, but I'm open to anyone else's opinion(s). "The negative ion concentration in most indoor environments is between 100 and 200 negative ions per cubic cm. In extremely healthy and invigorating environments, such as near a large waterfall, the negative ion level is around 1,000,000 per cubic cm." Since the 20th post, I've said it could be negative ions, and not ozone.

Also, there's a lot of negative ions when it rains. I always feel charged when it's been raining. So i guess you never know.
But it isn't ozone, lol. The reactions required for that are a little to complicated to be completed in a bubbler, from what i understand...

bubbler makes ozone?
hmm from waht i read frmo KYA's post about his experience, i think ive experienced it too, although i never thought it was anything like negative ions or ozone.
my friend was cleaning her pipe, and she soaked it in a bit of alc, and then rinsed with water, and afterwards when we smoked, it kept making an almost popping sound, which sounds like what KYA is experiencing. I just assumed that it was still wet on the inside or something, and taht the heat frmo the lighter is just evaporating the liquid

bubbler makes ozone?
ok, enough is enough. From what we know, it IS possible that my bubbler is making negative ions. I believe 100% that it's making it, but anyone else who hasn't actually tried it shouldn't just rule it out. I rule out ozone, with the indisputable facts from emo, and appreciate his pointing out my wrongs. BUT, let's just say, it IS possible that negative ions are being produced, not ozone, or try the "experiment" yourself, and leave it at that. And I'm just an arse who found something, some what interesting
Peace
