Hi i am ordering some seeds and was wondering if 4 250w hps lights is enough for like 40 plants in sog. And will 1500w arouse suspision if i went for 2 extra lights. Please help seeds are in the mail alredy woo to stoned to type

I would need a bit more info.. but off the top of my head.. 4(250watt HPS) are plenty for a sea of green opperation.. more than enough.. I would reccomend 2 (600's) but what you have is GOOD!!

Ya know, the whole electricity thing is a crap shoot. Earlier this year they did a sting opperation in SanDiego. actually it was Carlsbad, CA ... they raided this ladies house who had 4 computers and a bunch of TV's on.. really disgusting.. On the other hand
many many of us know people who are running 10,000+ watts. I think in general you are very safe.

How it usually works from what I have read is this..
1. they get a tip
2. they bring a dog by your house.. very casual like
3. they check your electricty bill
4. they bring in the HELI.
5. they kick down your door : (

you can read all about this stuff if you google around... old newspaper articles are full of this shit. It will make you educated and paranoid... sorry.. i don't mean to be spreading fear. just want to let you know..

yeah, garden knowm is right. its not heli's or power bills, its always something else. see the other thread about helicopters. LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS. I dont think that 4-250 w lights will grow 40 plants. 600 watts is best and that covers six sq feet. weed needs a lot of light and heat to produce maximum yield!

The Supreme Court has made it so that a search warrant must be obtained before thermal imaging can happen. So they have to have probable cause to look at you in the first place. If they are imaging your grow pad, they have OTHER evidence and an investigation is underway! A high power bill does not create proable cause if you pay the bill ON TIME! Some people grow LEGAL plants and the sherrif kicking the door down to see whats growing under those lights is OUT in the court system today, I assure you! And, Thank God, too, that we still have the fouth ammendment!

Thanks guys one more question if i had 4 250w lights and i had 10 to 15 plants under each light would that work keep in mind i am only vegging the plants till they are about 1 to 2 feet tall then forcing flowering. Any ideas what the yield would be. For my first crop i have ordered Northern lights, jack herer, hash plant, and white widow.
I live in British Columbia and until now i was a very experienced outdoor grower with very successful harvests until the last couple years i have been forced indoors by rip offs so im new to the indoor stuff im ordering Marijuanna indoors by jorge cervantes so it may help too. I have a nice growroom now just has 6 42inch florescents for seedlings and 2 28 inchers for either clones or seedlings I will soon be setting up tables for my in door crops with either 4 or 6 250watters.
I may send pics to once everything is underway. Any help with questions much appreciated

A little under an ouce per plant if you do everything right, I would actually thing that ten-15 plants under one 250 is not enough light, How far appart will each plant be?
