Twisting Plant ! HELP !
Twisting Plant ! HELP !
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey . I´m finding my first grow problem that I cannot find the solution by reading.
My Blueberry is twisting, just a bit, but twisting.
She was place in soil 10 days ago on May 18th as another WhiteWidow I have. But this one is twisting.
I thought distance to lamps, I have 2 HPS x 250w and the plants are a little more than one feet from them. I think this is safe.
The temp does not raise 28 degrees as you can also see in the picture.
Now I´m trying shoting an humidifier in front of them to raise up the humidity in the leaves. Í do not know how will it result.
Soil sometimes seems dry. But is only dry on top. And I water once or twice a day but not too much.
Well ..the thing is that I´m going to have total of 5 babies and I do not want to mess with all of them. Maybe only one is deform. Or maybe is some other thing.
Please help me I´m worried.

That soil looks terrible... You need some better soil. Thats probably your problem. I would keep the light about 2 feet sbove them until they get bigger. Buy some good potting soil.

I agree with EarthyDank, get some Perlite/vermiculite in there, but I also believe your watering schedual is some of your problem.
I wet my soilless medium as I'm using it to repot or uppot. Then after I transplant, I only water in the saucer (for a time or 2)...underneath the pot, to drive the roots to the bottom of the pot seeking water...who could care if the top of your pot is wet or not, you dont want roots at the top.
Then water/fed to the weight of your pot; know the weight dry, then after a good watering/fed, lift her again, and know the difference. IMHO, a touch underwatered is better than over watering.

Twisted leaves is a common trait in b.b.
Some outgrow it , some dont . Find some better soil for when you transplant though .
Peace

even the cheapest potting soil would be better than what you're growing in - just do NOT get any soil that indicates it has pre-mixed fertilizers, they will throw off your feedings later on :smokin:

Twisting Plant ! HELP !
Hi !
Thanks you ALL very much for everything.
It´s been certainly good advice.
PS: The soil is bought in home depot. But fkn crappy.
I already bought a different variety to replant, and some perlite too.
I will replant tomorrow.
I want to help speed up eventhough they are small and I have no need to replant yet. I will.
About the lights I will move up a little.
But 2 feet since too much and I´ve read a lot about a few inches reducing a lot the power delivered. So.. I will raise 1/2 feet.
I made a nice picture in return of the little family. I know it´s a little skinny but we are improving.
The other picture is the new soil I bought and it´s supoused to be a good mix with almost 1/4th of perlite. I made a nice little pile out of it.
Well . anyother advice is greatly apreciated and you can check back my first post with more details of my grow room and so.
Thanks again. Nanu nanu

You should do option E. Just seems the best to me because it provides light to the bottom and the top.
