    strange 3 leaved seedling

i think it's neat. i'd like to have one too. I wonder what percentage of plants have this, b/c it's pretty fly. I'd love to grow one. It'd be wicked if someone could breed a strain that was like this. Tri-force (c).

    haha

    ah right
so,this plant should yeild more than it would if it was a normal plant?here's hoping it's a girl

could this thing have anything to do with it being germed outdoors?i notice someone mentioned they had one outside too, well this one was also in a massive pot outside my house,it must have come from one of my unsuccessful prior attempts at germing seeds, anything that doesn't germinate and soil from old grows go into this pot, though it must have been in there a while as i haven't put any seeds in it for months

I have 2 papaya plants with whorled phytolaxy a male and a female. What would happen if i pollinated the female with the male. Would the seeds all have this trait? Stinky? Anyone?

Miley OMG I cannot believe you just posted that- let me guess, Nirvana Standard papaya>?
I actually came onto this thread again to post that MY Nirvana Papayas started off 'normal' and after the first couple nodes decided, hey! I' gonna go whorled! SO FREAKING ODD.
I assume the trait is heritable. Particularly since we are seeing it appear in the same strain!
Some buffoon was selling seeds on youtube that he claimed were stable for the trait but he was asking like $20,000 USD... HAHA moron.
I am DEFINITELY going to cross these and see if it stabilizes after a couple generations. You know, it is for fun...

No shit! You got some too. Are you going to try to breed them? Is it true that they produce at least a 1/3 more? Oh and mine did just like yours they grew normal for the first few nodes then started the Tri leave deal. Oh and your right about the strain.

I had a few papaya that did the same thing. They were males and I'll use them for breeding to see what happens.

I think we should have a freaky nirvana papaya club. I'm definitely going to try and lock down the trait just for shits n giggles. I genuinely doubt that you get 1/3 more bud, since there are so many other factors, but hey, I grow in large part for FUN and this is COOL.

Hey Stinky. Making a club sounds cool. lol. I'm with you on the 1/3 more but i do believe that they will produce more just because of having an extra bud site at every node.
