Flowering stage, need advice.
Hello all,
My plant is currently in its 3rd-4th week of flowering (sorry cnt remember wat week i started, i smoke too much).
only about 25% of the white stem things have turned brown so there still loads of time.
i was just wondering what i should be doing in the meantime? any tips?
I have read somewhere that you need to flush in the flowering stage is this necessary? what else? i really am starting to worry as im not prepared...
Heres some pics (all from 4 days ago apart from overall pic which is from the 17th)
ill get more uptodate later today.moka88 Reviewed by moka88 on . Flowering stage, need advice. You should try and see the trichromes with at least a 30x mag glass or loupe. When the "mushrooms" are cloudy - then you harvest. Short of that, when 75% of the pistils (white stems as you call them) are browish-rust color, then harvest. Check out the FAQ section on this subject.

When you harvest is a matter of preference really (what kinda buzz you want the cannabis to have) vs yeild loss from harvesting to early. More amber tric's will give more of a couchlock high , more Cloudy crystals will give the stone buzz type of high. Most indica dom strains take 7-8 weeks to fully flower (sativa dom strains can take longer)
From your pics your plant is in some trouble its leaves look very droopy and looks like maybe heat stress? But they should be able to make it another few weeks cannabis is a resiliant plant.

pistils can change color due to temperature, humidity, genetics, etc.. - I totally ignore the pistils :wtf: - the only correct way to determine your harvest is to look at the trichomes - if you don't have a 30x glass, then get one - Radio Shack has an illuminated pocket microscope for about $10 - I harvest when about 10%-20% of the trichs have turned amber - good luck - :smokin:

That Radio Shack microscope really is a great investment
