making a lightbulb vaporiser

in regards to making a lightbulb vapouiser:
call me dumbass or what ever, but how the fuck are u suppsoed to get the end off a lightbulb with out smashing the whole thing?? i went through heaps of lightbulbs trying to get it right... any help??

the metal is actually soft enough to use a knife, and cut. Just get a really sharp knife, and cut the metal in a full circle to remove it. There'll be some glass under that, just use a screwdriver to knock the insides and endpieces off..

Yup, cuts real easy like. Use a sharp pocket knife or sometrhing...

oh shit ey..and i wasted so many perfectly good lightbulbs... **sigh**... but thanx for the advice, it took me 20mins, but im finished...ill giv it a whir later tonite.. peace
