im new here too, and i couldnt figure out how to attach pictures as well. My posts is a few below yours. I ended up using imageshack.us to put the pictures up, and use their thumbnail code. It works fine until we figure out how to attach. Any one have any ideas? do we need a certain number of posts before we can attach images?
