Halogen light question
heat from Halogens is actually harmful to plants. Also the CRI rating is not suitable for growing plants. As Midlife said, floros or HPS are your best bet. ( Floros have blue spectrum good for veg and HPS is red spectrum good for flowering.) Optimal temperature is 77 or 78 for photosynthesis, and halogens get real hot fast.
Exodus_herbman Reviewed by Exodus_herbman on . Halogen light question I have been using a 150 watt 2430 lumens halogen light for my first grow. The plants are doing fine and are out in the sun for 3-4 hours a day. I live in so-cal so the sun/temp is great. They are under the light the rest of the time. The plants are 1 week old and have the 2nd set of leaves growing. My question is how long can I go with using this light? I only have 2 plants in the closet. Can the light be used for flowering? Thanks Rating: 5
