Nice anti-Irael flick........nothing more. I agree our support for Israel has big influence on the hate but to put it like that's an evil thing to do? Come on now.....

    Have a good one!:s4:

I don't think the video you posted does much to prove that Israel and its interests call the shots at Capitol Hill as much as it proves that some people definitely believe so. And about the seemingly tongue-tied interviewees, upon whose reactions the video's makers attempt to build most of their case: that some people refuse to answer your questions is not automatic proof that you have nailed them, although that could be the case. But it can also mean that your interviewee simply does not wish to dignify your allegations with a response, perhaps because he/she believes them to be unfounded and/or irrelevant.

It is no secret that the United States has given and continues to give Israel too much of a hand, and I am the first to decry that fact (at the same time, Ron Paul can go fuck himself). However, I do not believe this relationship in any way justifies - or should even try to make us the slightest bit more understanding/sympathetic towards - the murder of thousands of innocent people.

I also believe too many people overstate Israel's role as the supposed puppeteer of our politics. Case in point: Israel desperately called for us to oust Saddam during the first Gulf War, but it was obviously not obeyed. Oh, and let us not forget that Sharon was one of the most prominent opponents of the United States' interventions in Kosovo and Bosnia, and that Clinton went ahead with them anyway.

In my view, it shows a terrible ignorance of history and current world affairs to seriously believe that if only it weren't for the United States' wealthy support of Israel, al-Qaeda and others would be all too willing to leave us alone.

If you want to continue debating Israel and its influence, I am ll for it. You started this thread, so you go first.
