My Sisters hamster died...advice on what to tell her?

^ yeah my sisters hamster died after dying a painfull death after living for 2 years. Shes pretty bummed out and I'm wondering have any of you ever dealt with a dead pet?

BTW shes 9

The loss of a pet can be devastating the grief as real as when a family member dies you can try explaining that if it was in pain it is much happier in hamster heaven let her grieve in her own way and under no circumstances make fun of her for doing so.
Judge what you feel to be a reasonable ammount of time pass and offer her gently a new hamster,
She will get over it.

I dont have the link but someone on here might. Its a video that talks about rainbow bridge and how good pets go there after they die. Losing a pet it hard, even if its a small one.

Make a little gravestone out of some sticks and bury the pet wherever your sister wants it. Its nice having a place to go and remember and it helps alot.
