    co2 question

I am new to growing. I have been reading around this site and others. I know that plants need co2 to grow and thrive. I have seen people saing things about co2 enrichment I was wondering how people went about getting more co2 into there grow room.. From what I read it is good to have about 250 ppm co2 in the grow room being flushed out with fresh air every so often. Thats too much for me I don't have a big set up with vents just a closet with fan and ac for temp reg. what would be a good cheap way of getting co2 in there with out blowing up my house......LOL

I know co2 won't blow up my house just being funny....... thanks

    co2 question

Not an absolute expert on this one, but I do believe the PPM of the nutrients dictates what the PPM of the c02 should be. How many lamps are you running? What big is your area and what type of ventilation do you currently have? Unless you are running a minimum of 2000 watts, I personally would not even worry about c02 but others may disagree with that statement.

    co2 question

Oops... didn't read the post entirely. Closet grow? Save your money and buy a Vortex fan when you can, this way you won't need to run your A\C all the time which is costing you an arm and a leg.

    co2 question

well I have central air so I have it on for me so I am not too worried about that. I know some one who has a fan like that I didn't think of grabing one. I just got a reg osc fan. I think that its too big for them so I will get out and grab one of them. as for the co2 I will agree with you on that it didn't seem like it was a big deal for my little set up. thanks man.

    co2 question

hey i dont know if its true or not, but i read it in hightimes that extra co2 wont be used unless there are more than 40 watts a square foot per plant. also 250- 300 ppm co2 is like regular every day air, to supplement you can use up to 1500 ppm to get the advantages. no i dont know of a cheap/reliable way to do it, there is the yeast method, or vinegar/ baking soda , or tanks with a regulator, also a fossil fuel burning area heater which will raise temps.
    aint she pretty?
