How to stay up for 48 hours?

I am very busy these next couple days and will get about 3 hours of sleep after being up for 48 hours. Then I will be up for another twenty some hours after that.

High school graduation was last night (Whoo hoo!), and now the parties begin. All night party was last night (put on by the school), partying until 4am tonight, then at 7am I have to get up and go tubing down a salt river.

    Hours currently awake: 37
    Hours to go: 11-12

I have been drinking plenty of fluids (water), eating a healthy meal every 5 hours or so, and have had one 5 Hour Energy [B vitamins, amino acids, around 50mg caffeine (same as a cup of coffee)].

Can anyone offer me any advice on what I can do to reduce the bad effects of sleep deprivation? I am fine mentally, but I can't help but think that this is really bad for my body. I was wondering if anyone had any tips from personal experiences and such as the web is kinda lacking on good info about this subject. I am staying away from caffeine and sugars as they put you up, but then bring you down hard.

Thank you for any help. I am leaving in about 45 minutes, so any quick help is greatly appreciated.

ps. Power naps (10-15min naps) don't work very well for me as once I go to sleep, sound won't wake me up. I slept through a fire alarm going off in school.

I asked my friend who went to Afghanistan with the military and he said that the Afghan rebels smoke pot to help relieve sleep deprivation symptoms. I vaped a bit just now so I'll tell ya how it works.

ps. When does cannabis not make you feel better?

How to stay up for 48 hours?

I stayed up 54 hours once, I never really drink pop or anything with caffeine so I have no tolerance. I was on a mission trip for a few days helping in WV. So on the last day all of us stay up really late and never really sleep. So we chugged a few vaults and shotgunned some. That night I tried to sleep at like 5 but couldn't so the next day home I still couldn't sleep(I don't sleep well in cars so yea) So I get home and can't sleep then finally the day after I crashed around noon and slept for 13 hours. So just drink enegry drink after energy drink but be ready for a crash.

I've done 2/3 day LAN parties in the past. I would just drink tons of Monster energy drinks to stay away for the 2 or 3 days strait. I would just crash so hard when it was over because I used to be the only White guy there and I would get made fun of. They called me The Asian-Killer because I normally got in the top 3 when doing tournaments. Those basement LAN parties, playing video games all day/night, and eating Asian food for way too many hours on end had some bad effects on me. I used to normally get sick from the MSG and get a fever from too much stress on the body. Just to let you know, that MSG thing is totally true. I would get sick and throw up because I didn't have enough exposure to the food additive since MSG is very high in soy sauce, vegemite, parmesan cheese, and marmite, which are not high in my daily food intake.

There is also a vitamin that reduces the bad effects of MSG on the body which is high in Asian, European, South American, Middle Easter, African, and just about anywhere but the United States. It is ok in every country except the USA because our average daily diet is lacking that vitamin so much.

Smoke chronic until you forget what time is, then keep smoking until you don't know what it really means to be awake. You should be fine.

I'll just find a cute girl and keep myself awake and motivated "Your gonna get with her in 10 more minutes. Just keep on trying..."

Usually it just happens without warning and is just really spontaneous, I don't do that whole creepy guy thing *quivers*

Why not just get some sleep so you can actually function and not be a zombie? You'll enjoy yourself more and you won't get so worn out that you set yourself up for getting sick. Seriously. If you have the downtime to be on a PC and posting on this forum, you could be getting some sleep.

It's not healthy, but a few days without sleep isn't going to seriously damage you. I mean, it IS true that lack of sleep can kill you, but you stay up long enough you'll fall asleep while running from the cops.

Anyway, short of busting some yay (impossible to sleep after a gram) or abusing various other stimulants, both licit and illicit...I'm sure there are plenty of OTC remedies that promote wakefulness. Go to your local vitamin store and ask around. 5 HTP comes to mind.

    Good luck.

Why stay up for so long? Just take 16 hours out of the 2 days, and sleep. I'd hate to to force myself to stay up for no reason. The world isn't going anywhere, so it will be there if you fall asleep.

If not, just go on a hard drug binge. No, don't do that.
