Soggy Skunk!
Evening all - I'm after some advice. I've just bought some buds which are damp - and I mean REALLY damp. My guess is that they are homegrown straight off the plant and that whoever was selling them just never got chance to dry them out. Soooo, my question is this - what's the best way to get them nice and dry? At the moment I've just got them wrapped in a couple of sheets of kitchen towel to try an suck out some of the moisture, but I want to be sure the little beauties don't go mouldy on me!
Any advice on the best / quickest way to get them dry and smokeable would be much appreciated.
Love to everyone

Hmm. Sounds like a good bet. What a fucker - I mean, how much weight can a few splashes of water actually add? Time to find a new dealer I think!

If your bud is that damp I suggest you let it air dry between two paper towles.

I've tried the paper towel trick - it really seems to have worked. They are smokeable now, I've just checked!!
I didn't realise that water could add so much weight. It seems a bit pointless when I only go by looks of the score alone - it's not like I go in there with my scales ready to pounce if he's 0.1g under. Just goes to show how ready people are to rip you off.

NO NO don't ever dry your buds in the sun. Keep them in the dark.

I did dry it in the sun actually - why do you suggest not doing that? Admittedly, it has come out almost TOO dry - a bit powdery now. Still, seems to fo the trick...

Also, find a new dealer. Water adds tons of extra weight, and if it came right off the plant without drying, then you got royally screwed. Wet cannabis is 70-80% water, so if you got 10g's of fresh, wet cannabis, the outcome of the dry weight would be about 2-3g's. That's a 7-8gram loss...
So yes, water adds tons of extra weight. Find a new dealer. Dank is okay, but either way, they are selling you very "soggy" cannabis, as you said. You are getting ripped off.
