    School weed propaganda

Let me quote directly from my Biology textbook:

"Short-term use of marijuana does not seem to cause immediate physical damage to the body. However, the word 'seem' here is deceiving. For there is clear evidence that smoking marijuana is bad for the lungs, although the damaging effects may not be immediate. In fact, smoking marijuana is even more destructive to the lungs than smoking tobacco

"Long-term use of marijuana can result in loss of memory, inability to concentrate, and reduced levels of the hormone testosterone in males. Heavy users develop a psychological dependence (need) on the drug, which can make constructive behaviour--work, sports, study, and social activities--almost impossible."

It should be a crime to print blatant misinformation and junk science into a textbook and teach it to students. First of all, the shit about weed harming the lungs more than tobacco is sketchy; first because though it does contain tars, there has NEVER been a proven correlation between weed and lung cancer.

Many of us stoners here know that weed only increases the sharpness of our mind and our sense of touch with the heavens, the less-testerone claims are made-up bullshit, and that it is very easily possible to smoke A LOT of weed and still engage in constructive behaviour.

FUCK, I want to sue the publishers so badly.

We haven't been taught the chapter on drugs this year, because they can only do so many chapters.....I just came across that when I was reading through the textbook for my own enjoyment.

But, any stoners who are taught this shit, I urge you to speak up and bulldoze the teacher with facts that they cannot deny; or if they try to, as they probably will, a good strong argument will anyway make most of the class believe you.

The government is in charge of the shit they feed you in public schools..usually they start at an earlier age with the D.A.R.E. program and the whole "SAY NO TO DRUGS" propaganda shit..not much you people can do because every parent in America wants their child/children to be drug free..even though a majority of the very same fucking parents experimented with some sort of psychadelic back in the days..

Who cares. It's a bio book. It's most likely outdated. You honestly think the teacher gives a shit if some students starts naming out facts? No, all it says is "Hey look at me, I'm a stoner!"

    in my health class
    my teacher said "every one
    who thinks that marijuana
    should be legal, raise your
hand", and I was the only
person in class to raise that
    raise their hand... probably
    because the bitch said longterm
    use of marijuana could cause
    serious health problems or
    even DEATH

Since I'm the best student in the class, I think it's a positive thing if everyone knows I'm a stoner. Maybe it will make them question their stereotypes.
