hello all, advice for a newbie?

Since you've only smoked 3 times, I bet .25 would get you goin, and .5 between you and your girl (who I'm also guessing hasn't smoked or few times) would get you guys pretty messed up. How many hits do you usually take before really feeling it? I only need 3 or 4 bong hits and I'm pretty stoned and I've been smoking everyday for about 5 months now. I'd say ask your smoking buddies to sell you a $20 sack of dank and you'll be alright for the week.

i didn't feel it the first time but i was piss drunk and they say you don't feel it the first time anyway, right (is that really as true as they say?)

the other two times, maybe 5 hits but i was probably taking shitty hits, definitely coughing all over the place

Well the first time I smoked I felt it, but I've heard a lot of people not getting high on their first time. It basically just differs from person to person.

But yeah I'd ask your dealer about that $25, or also called a half-eighth. :thumbsup:

hi fellas, not only am i new here on this forum but i'm also relatively new to smoking, so i ask you please to bear with me and be patient. i just finished my freshman year of college and i'd never done anything of the sort until this semester, but the occasion presented itself three times to experiment and live a little, and needless to say i loved it.

like i said, i've only smoked three times in my life and only other people's weed, but i wanna start to make a recreational habit of it, yaknow, and i'd be open to any kind of advice (or if you could direct me to another thread or whatever).

like, on average how much should it cost if i buy an amount (is one oz. standard?)... and how can i tell when a bowl (i've only ever smoked out of a pipe/bowl before) is cashed? is there any kinda technique or etiquette i should be aware of if i'm puffing from a bowl, like how i light it? if i decide to buy my own piece, anything i should know about taking care of it other than cleaning oout the resin?

i'm sure this all sounds kinda foolish but i appreciate your advice...

One Oz in America can vary in price depending on state and quality. Expect to pay for mids, maybe $160 - 200 and for dank, $300-400. I reccomend buying an 8th, which is 3.5 grams, try it out and then see if you wanna buy more after, which you probably will if it's good stuff A bowl has 3 stages, which i will describe in colours: Green, black, white. Once we have arrived at the white stage, the bowl is cashed, time to pack another enjoy. People have already talked about cornering, it's important to get it down, it's very noticable stoner professionalism. Maybe when you buy some ganja, you should smoke up the people who smoked you up, some good karma and all. Personally, i think you should buy a bubbler instead of glass pipe, look it up on google if you don't know what it is. Water pipes are so much smoother then regular and are worth the investment 100%

hi guys, back again with a couple more questions, everybody was helpful and if i knew how to +rep i would

i ordered my first piece, a glass pipe (your standard spoon) about 10 days ago and it came in today, so i just have some in-general questions. i think i'm gonna keep the bubble-wrap it came in to hopefully prevent any accidents, we'll see if that helps...

1.) screens. these are a necessity to prevent the weed from falling down the hole, right? can i substitute them for something else around the house, or should i find a headshop and buy some?
2.) homemade waterfall bongs. does the presence of the water cool the smoke like a normal bong? does the smoke lose any of its thc/potency when it's just chilling as the water level falls?
3.) resin. if i'm not looking to smoke it, is the best way to deal with it with a paperclip? or...?
4.) anything else about taking care of the pipe that's not obvious? thanks.

There's really no need to keep it in the bubble-wrap, but if you feel it's the safest, feel free. It's no big deal, really.

I've never used a pipe that had a screen in it. Most pipes have a small enough hole in them, that if the weed were to be sucked through...it would be just a small, small amount. Screens are more so used for bongs. If you really would like to use one, purchase it at your local head shop. Tin foil with some holes in it works fine too. (Usually)

It cools the hit, just like a normal bong, yes. The smoke does not lose THC or Potency, no.

Surprisingly, you can get reaaaal ripped off resin (if there's enough of it) but it tastes kind of gross, and it isn't exactly the healthiest stuff to inhale. If you wanna scrap your bowl of the res, the best method is to use a paper clip. You can also use hot water to clean up your pipe. Careful though, it may leave an aroma.

Just take care of it. Don't set it anywhere it might fall. And that's about it! Take good care of it, man.

yea foils bad for you

go to your sink, unscrew the end part where water comes out, and their will be 1-3 screens in their that are exactly the same as a screen in pipes.

oh yea, and you can get an ounce of schwag for 50 bucks. an ounce is about, 40-50 joints, or 80-100 bowls.

And I tend to stay away from tin-foil in general. It's not good for you at all, and it tastes nasty. Bleh. Stick with glass ;]
