Look around and find one you really like. Bells and whistles like ice catchers may cost more, but they are most certainly worth it. OR if you are more DIY oriented, you could make your own.

If thats the case, I would suggest a Goldschlager bottle. There's at least one post on this subject.

Either way, don't be afraid to spend a little money on this. You'll be grateful in the long run when friends seek out your new toy.

Shamrock, I suggest you get one with a good weight to it that will fit your life. Like I'd love to have a 3 footer again, but w younguns in the house it just aint practical for me right now since I have to keep mine hidden when not in use, so mines a medium size.
I prefer a glass bong thats heavy enough to not tip over everytime my cat flicks her tail at it. And I like to be able to see through the glass to see how big of a hit I'm brewin. And I like the shaft to be tall enough that I don't get a mouth full of spray every time I hit it. Get the slide out bowl, instead of a carb. And you might want to make sure its easy to clean.

i really enjoy the cool hit i get off mine; i started with a small bong and recently got a little pipe; i'm glad to have both, but the pipe is just very harsh to smoke compared to the bong where i can gulp that smoke up i'm now thinking i'd like to have a bong with a more elaborate filtering process, like the molino mad scientist; you gotta love the cool hits you get off da bong yes, get one, i payed $30 shipped for a nice little molino bong from grasscity, it's a fine start

i have a cheap ass one footer that i love. didnt really know much about bongs when i got it, but i use it pretty much every time i smoke, good for little snappers. and if you dont have an ice catcher, you could just stick your bong in the freezer for 5 mins, makes it hit like a champ.

The only downside to a bong is its noise and lack of mobility. If you have those covered, you NEED to buy a bong! Put ice in it and go crazy

drowin out the noise of a bong isnt that hard, a fan will work, some soft playing music, the tv, use your imagination:thumbsup:

the upside to bongs far, far outweight the downside(witch i think is only the noice, which there really not loud at all)

i ripp my bong almost everynight and my dad is in the room right next to mine,, all i need is too turn the fan on and no one can hear shit,, trust me
