Ok....make a list...no, make a bunch of them.

1. What do you want to do with yourself in the near future....what do you want to accomplish and what kind of things do you want to do to have fun. Nothing like .....some day I'll be president......(we can't all be Skink) but realistic goals for the next year or two.

2. What do you want and expect from your father? This is not a list that you have to show him, this is a list for you so anything's fair.

3. What do you think your father wants and expects from you? You might even think about asking him that question (and not like...."well what the fuck do you want from me anyway?") but you don't have to....that part is up to you.

I'd start there. This will hopefully give you somewhere to begin figuring out how to solve some of these issues you're having. . In writing them down and rereading them you may see things a little differently.....the same way you did when you reread your own post. Some of what you have written
may strike you as unrealistic....(we all live happily ever after....) but also may give you some tools and ideas to accomplish what you want to do.

The only way I have survived living at my house has been my just completly tuning what my parents say. You need to live your life the way you want to, and do what is right for you. If you feel like smoking has been benificial to your life, then hell yeah keep smoking. But if your dad doesn't want you smoking because it has gotten you into troble in the past then maybe you should listen to him. Fuck this time of life is so hard, it's like you should listen to your parents but at the same time I feel like they just speak to us wrong, like he should accept you, and respect what you think is right, but at the same time he might be right. Don't listen to me I'm so confused about everything in my life right now, the same sort of shit your talking about with having problems with parents n shit. But at the end of they day I never listen to them, I just like to go with the flow and figure shit out on my own.

No he needs a shrink, depression isn't something that will just go away or people grow out of. I've been depressed for a long time, part of it is that it comes and goes, some days I feel fine, other days I hate everything in the world. It's not easy to know how to deal with these issues on your own, I recommend a professional to help. I've put off getting one myself for a long time, hoping I can avoid the embarrassment of talking about my personal life to a stranger, or just have some guy recommend all types of drugs, but I do think if someone thinks they need a shrink, they should get one.

I will say that moving out on my own really helped my relationship with my mom, but it will most likely not make the depression go away. You will just have different issues to deal with, such as loneliness which brings a more self destructive side to depression.

ive been depressed before and i dont think goin to a doctor so he can prescribe u all kinds of bs drugs is right. i hate doctors that do that shit(think medicine can solve anything) there the people that fucked up my family... just my opinion tho
