depends on the dose for me, when i take 1000mg+ i lose much control, i babble on about nothing and do things you dont remember why you started in the first place, on high doses of dxm i would not go out side with out a sober friend, or talk to people like parents or anyone else who thinks you dont do drugs because you will start talking about crazy ass shit and you really cant control it. As for lower doses like 500mg. or below i can handle myself good i can talk to people without letting on im tripping, and go outside by myself without fear of doing something dumb(if you go outside DONT DRIVE).
