Well here's my story. My 3 buddies and I planned our first salvia trip about 2 or 3 weeks ago. 3 out of 4 of us (including I) would smoke a bunch of pot and then salvia, while the 4th would just smoke some pot as he didn't feel ready for the salvia.
So flash forward to this past Tuesday (the 15th). My one buddy and I head over to Kensington market and score about a gram of 10x for a decent price. We were pretty happy as we didn't expect to actually find any, and also the lovely lady that sold it to us said that it was the last gram they had in the store.
Now all that was left was the maryjane. We know a really nice dealer and kept trying to get in touch with him, but he wouldn't answer his phone. Our other buddy knew a bunch of dealers, but he wasn't with us, and we felt really confident that after obtaining the salvia we should be able to get weed on our own. So we start this old "tradition" of asking every shady character on the street if he/she knew where we could score some green. After about 45 minutes, this short gangster-type stops to talk to us. He starts off with some sob story that went like "Yeah my man chops, but I don't know if you guys wanna deal with me, you know? People don't trust me, and I can't stand that. I chopped this one kid one time and it was all good, then he came back to me a month later and was all paranoid about me rippig him off and shit. And anyway, I'm not gonna chop you guys a dimebag if that's what you want. I only deal big amounts... blah blah blah". We tell him we want a quarter O, and that we won't annoy him about trust and whatnot. So he borrows my buddy's cellphone, and talks in a hushed tone, but I overheard a few phrases like "yeah man, throw in an extra gram on the side for me, yeah quarter O.. i'm at Kensington on Baldwin Street". It seems all good so far. He tells us that his dealer friend is having some girl trouble and that it would take him about 15 to 20 minutes to get to us. We say that's fine with us and sit down with him, while he rolls up some tobacco and talks to us about girls, weed in the GTA, and about this sick banjo player that was nearby. We felt somewhat comfortable with him, despite his "gangster" image since he was keeping up a decent conversation. After about 15 minutes, he gets up from the bench we're sitting on, looks down the street and announces that his dealer is here and tells us to wait. He comes back and tell us that the dealer doesn't want to deal with us face to face (uh oh?), because he's afraid of it looking like a drug deal, etc etc. Now this should have made us back out of the deal right away, but this guy had spent a good 20 minutes with us, so we didn't see the harm in giving him the money and not the supposed dealer (whom we never saw btw). We give him $45 and he walks down the street with us, and at a certain point tells us to stay where we are as he heads towards a silver car... walks right past it and turns right into some park. We're thinking ... okay he's either leaivng with our money, or the dealer got out of his car and is waiting in the park. We wait 5 minutes. Nothing. We walk closer to the car. Another 2 minutes. Nothing. We're 90% sure he ripped us off. But we still hope to spot him in the area, so we look around for a good 20 minutes. Don't see him anywhere. We say fuck it. Let the rat-bastard, street gangster enjoy his free $45, we got plenty of money to spend on a more trustworthy dealer (although far away from us). All in all, despite that, it turned out to be an amazing Tuesday night.
The only thing I'm truly pissed off about was that he made us waste about 40 minutes of our time and that we should have read the signs from the beginning.

rule. 1 when buying weed never and i mean never let somebody hold your money unless it's a close friend or somebody you've been dealing with for along while and you know you can trust them.my friend i have to say it that was just stupid on your part and dont let it happen again.

Yea I admit it was pretty stupid, but at the time we were on this stupid confidence-high haha, thought we'd be able to score some weed off a stranger without relying on our other buddy.

thats why you gotta get in tight with the dealers in town, and sling a few sacks yourself, if done right, you can always have free smoke, and a little spare change out of the deal.

see my friend this only happen because you let it the guy above can say this guy was fucked up yea he was but you cant put every thing on him. becuase he played you and you let it happend because you didn't play the game yourself. let me give you an example let's say this is like a police incounter or someshit if you let the cop make you think without knowing what to do. your probly gonna get fucked and it wont be on him it will be on you because your the 1 who opened your mouth. but if you play the game right most likely your gonna get away.

now what this guy did was he made you think he was your friend and he wouldn't fuck you. just like a police officer would do so he could get you to talk and then throw those cuff's on you and tell you your going to jail.

this happened to me and a friend only i was telling my friend fuck it lets go but we ended up gettin takin down to some random street and got jumped for our phones and money. till this day i regret not going with my gut feeling.
