    is this unhealthy?

my plants are about 2 weeks old but the center where the leaves are branching out is almost a brown color, can anyone explain what this could be from? it's only where the leaves connect to the stem, the rest is a bright green....

Nutrient deficiencies won't make your plants change colors. It'll just not make your plant grow as big as it could.

Your problem might be heat, what's the temperature near the plant?

Can we not be handing out definitive answers to questions we don't understand please? I'm not even going to give a certain one, not seeing pics, or getting some other info!!!

Cazro- you are so full of guano your eyes are probably turning brown too. Have you ever seen a sick cannabis plant before in your life? Have you ever seen the red petioles of a sulfur deficiency, or the brown polka dots of potassium problems? Have you ever grown a cannabis plant to harvest and seen the yellows and even reds that appear as chlorophyll breaks down in the absence of Nitrogen? No?

Torched- wtf, how can you say it's spider mites without even seeing pics? In a description, the words I would be looking for to indicate a mite problem are speckles, crispy and webs.

    AAAH anyway...

Browning at the leaf axis can be caused frequently by severe Calcium deficiency- you will also see brown patches elsewhere- and if you try to take clones off a badly deficient plant, those areas WILL darken and start to rot.

light burns are a possibility as well... IF the rest of the plant looks like the picture of health, I'd suspect it's time to tie those branches down further from the lights, or raise the lights.

Do the leaves also seem to be becoming more narrow close to the axis? Do the edges cup upwards, downwards, or not at all?

For a good diagnosis though you really need to post pics.
