Guerilla growing.
You get out of it what you put in, like most things.
They only want to be watered once ever 3-4 days, and if you look for the males, they aren't going to pollenate the females in 3-4 days from developing ball sacks. So, if you choose to use patience and determination and maybe 3-4 hours a week caring for them, you could cull all the males and use some organic liquid ferts, and come up with some great female plants. But 100 is quite a large number, if it's an area where rationality tells you is going to be visited by either deer or humans, it might be wise to find a better spot.
As well as the fact that you want a specific type of soil, if you're going all natural. You don't want a hard clay soil that doesn't drain well, or the plant isn't going to develop a strong deep root structure. You want to find a soil that obviously supports other life near it, a softer soil that you can dig into a bit.
Technically, you can smoke any type of plant. Discerning whether or not 50 or so pollinated fems that you didn't put much effort into are worthy of your lungs... well... again, you get out what you put in.
Even hemp has minute traces of thc. The more care you give your plant, the better it's going to develop the chemicals we want as growers.
Peace and Love,
T.
