Where will you be in 20 years?
Please dont pull that 50 cents bullshit on me. If you wanted to you would make something of your self. Take responsibility for your OWN actions and stop blaming "the hood". "The Hood" gets all kinds of help from the government. The least you could do is try to take advanatage of them so my tax dollers aren't wasted. WORD HOMEY

Hopefull I will be married with a family. One of the things I look forward to most. I would also like to be in public service by then. As for smoking, till the day I fucking die. Before I smoked, I was a grouchy motherfucker and bitched about everything. Which has oddly enough been the case since I've had no hookups.

I don't think that's bullshit at all. I've known some people that were so poor, parents sick, etc... I've seen people my age have to drop out of high school and work a full time job just to pay off their families medical bills, then end up having to push yay just to feed the fam, then get thrown in for trying to take care of those they love. Many areas don't have many jobs, and it's hard to pay attention in school when you cant afford to stay in. I believe in hard work, don't get my wrong. But many people are just stuck in bad situations. Goals and will only go so far in this world...

And by the way the HOOD is flooded with guns, dope, guns, and more dope..along with corruption and racism (black on hispanic, hispanic on black, white on this, this on white, this on that, that on this..you get the point.) There are a few people in the HOOD who actually do attempt to make something of themselves, but tragically their lives usually get taken away from a stick-up or crossfire. You have to go thru the shit that goes down in my area if you think it's so easy to live in the ghetto homegirl. Ontop of that the education system is garbage as shit with most teachers who don't know what the hell they're doing (children deal all kinds of drugs during class INFRONT of the teachers)..plus the teachers have a tendency to not really give a shit about students and verbally abuse the weak ones. People die everyday in poor areas, it's a fact..so the "50-cent" guy who just posted wasn't really exaggerating because Newark IS a fucked up place..but let's leave it at that, you have to experience it to know what it's really like. So instead of being ignorant to the area he's talking about and quickly jumping into conclusions about how easy it is to survive and make a living in the HOOD..try to think again and take the racism, drug problems, gangs, and guns that flood the HOOD while at the same time thinking about the crime rate, drop out rate, kidnappings, car jackings, rapes, murders, and all the other shit that goes on in the HOOD into consideration.. and acknowledge the fact that although improvements are being made, robberies, rapes, and murder are still going strong, and many times these horrors are inflicted on those who really do try to make good and earn a decent living.

Im not doubting at the least thats its not a hell hole what my problem is is that there are sooo many people who come from there who do great things with their lives. Not nessecarily do they become President or an astronaut BUT they do hold steady jobs and raise kids that have education as their priority. If you are really determined not to end up as a drug dealer or some crap like that then you WILL. You can't let the place where you grow up at be the reason why you give up at an early age. And no its not all the peoples faults. The public education system is awful (thats why my parents put me in cyber classes when I was in high school and I take my college ones online now) but come on. And people die everywhere, not just the hood.

Yea, obviously people DIE everywhere and not just the hood, but how do they die in compaison? Do they get bludgeoned to death/stabbed/raped and shot in the face in the SUBURBS as often as they do in the HOOD? What about robbed or car jacked? If you compare a suburban, predominately upper-class neighborhood to a poor, crime infested area.. MORE PEOPLE die in the HOOD..common sense "nahmean yo?" Little kids get killed in the HOOD. More fatal DUI accidents are reported more often in the HOOD than in suburban neighborhoods. More GUN CRIMES happen in the HOOD. Sure people LEAVE the hood to chase their dreams and NOT be drug dealers and pimps, happens all the time..and like I said, it's progress. At the same time though, the HOOD is still dangerous as fuck, that's my point. Sure it shouldn't be an excuse for not succeeding, I don't believe in failure..but at the same time the HOOD isn't any picnic people should just scoff at and think of as something simple and easy to get out of when they've never actually LIVED in these areas (in particular, Newark new jersey) since my posts are pretaining to the "50-cent guy" Just look up "NEWARK" on google news..and then look up an upper-class suburb on google news and lets compare statistically the murder rates and crime rates.
