lower branches are easier to clone.

I top my ww's and the tops are the slowest to root.

Is this specific to the White Widow strain or a general rule?

Here's a photo from today. She's filled out quite a bit in one week. I'm having a pH problem that is slowly getting corrected, otherwise she would probably be growing a lot faster.

Gas - I had them in a small (2'x2') box with about 450 true watts of cfl's. One week ago I moved her into a new grow cabinet under 400w MH. But at the same time I put the plants on pure H2O to get them ready for cutting clones.

The photo on the right I took just now - the other is from 19 May. There's been a lot of growth in just 3 weeks, especially when you consider that 1 week of that is without nutes.

So tomorrow I cut clones and that's when the actual crop starts. Yahoooo!

Yes, my widow's look the same as yours, all stretched out. I will top these, and the results will be the following pix. :thumbsup:
Note: the guy in the white pot is a skunk.

Duke - enlarge the photo in my post above and check out the stretch in the upper growth. I had three cfl's as close as I could get them to this plant and it still stretched like crazy. So I'll definitely be topping the clones before I put them into 12/12.

To Speed up your Mothering/Cloning/Flowing cycle, clone some of the lower branches during Veg just before flowering. This may set you back a week for recovery, but you will have your next batch of clones going, just as you go to flower. Keep one aside as a mother later on. You'll then have great full plants to flower on the next cycle as you trim back during the veg state of your clones.

Easiest way I've found to keep the cycle going in the beginning of a new breed.

Thats basically what I have done and now have a bubbler with 4 well rooted cuttings and will transfer to my NFT system at end of flower
