why use a grinder? why not smoke the 'kief' when it is in trichome form frosted all over my tasty buds? that's the way I see it...I just take a pinch and stuff it in the bowl and burn it..in my knowledge it's the trichomes that get you stoned anyways, I'd rather leave them as intact as possible

simple answer is, because i want to.

i do it the way i like it. i like my buds ground up. i like to press the collected trichromes into hash. i like to place the hash on top of a bowl of freshly ground nugs. mostly i do it because i like to.

the same hash that you would be smoking on each individual bud anyways...personal preference I guess..

thats marijuana though, not hash. you don't have to deal with so much plant material when you smoke hash because it is made up mostly of trichomes. hash is purer that marijuana.

Keep your grinder in the freezer. The trichs will stick way more to the cold metal than room temperature metal. It makes a really big difference, you'll be surprised at how much more you get.

seems like it would be just as effective to put it in the freezer for a couple hours before you collect everything from it, the trichs would be more stiff and probably much easier to scrape out
