    Fishing And Dinner.

so what do red snapper taste like slip? i only eat river run fish(salmon and other fish that swim up the rivers from the ocean to spawn) and fish in the local lakes(mostly rainbow trout... some bass... bull fish and cat fish...

we eat alot of salmon... mainly king salmon... the last king salmon i cought was about 4 feet long... umm... i havent gone fishing in a long time... i might run out and grab my truck(i dont drive it to often because of it not having tabs and me not having a licence) but grab the chevy and the river boat and see what i cant catch... or either that the 16 foot and go to texas pond... or kaskey lake... or grab the neabhors 8 foot boat and go up to praie lakes or north moutian lake(you have to carry the boats down a steep ass hill or else i would take the 16 footer... but the 8 foot boat weighs no more then30 pounds....

i'ts kinda hard to explain fish o.0 they all taste pretty much the same...

but it's extremely tender, and seems to retain juices pretty damn well...

but mostly i prefer it cuz it's a deep water fish so they get pretty big, no bones to worry about (and it's pretty cheap which is a plus... it's almost EXACTY like salmon at a fraction of the price)

they have a smaller brother in lakes and what not... called redfish. i'm sure you've seen one from time to time...

our local bay used to be filled with kroakers too... another one of my favs (tho small) http://www.serc.si.edu/labs/fish_inv...sh/croaker.jpg

they used to be pretty fucking big and abundant around here...

but our local fishing has all but dried up... fishing for hours, you're lucky to get one bite, much less one fish... and if you do get lucky enough to get that fish, it's no longer then 6 inches >.< just a baby not even worth keeping...

needless to say, i haven't had fresh fish in awhile....

salmon is expencive? i didnt know that one... but no i havent seen either one of those fish.... but i didnt know salmon was that expencive... i always thought it was a cheap fish.... but i guess thats becaus my uncle runs a (some what) of a comercial fishing(native americans up here have special fishing licences that allow us to take larger boats*such as a 20 foot boat* out with nets and to set our nets out and drag the river and pull in what ever.... this summer thats what im gonna do for work... hes gonna let me barow his 26 foot boat, tow it to the river and give me all the nets and gas i need and drop me off with a camper... and we split the profits 75/25(i get the more monney cause im doing all the work, its hard to pull in even the smaller nets when they are half full of fish... and we run the deeper parts of the river with deeper nets pulling in more fish... in return more monney...but harder work...) and then of cource.. the crab boats... we make alot more monney on the crab boat... and work just about as hard but for longer hours.... the last time i was on the crab boat i worked about 15 hours... pulling 75 pound crab pots up about 30 feet (we had out about 100 crab pots) and at about the 10th pot, the puller motor died out on us and we couldnt get it to start back up... so we fuckin had to work hard as fuck because it was the last day we were open for about another month.... so we couldnt go back to the beach to pick up new parts for the motor and what not....
