Take vitamin E (400IU) as well so the vitamin C will stay in your system and work longer. Then up the C to 6,000-8,000mg if you want to see any real results. 3 grams is good for general health maintenance, I'd recommend that amount on a normal basis, but it won't do much in the short term.

Also, try taking odourless garlic capsulse, garlic contains a molecule that directly kills viruses. Just eating it won't really help though, you'd have to eat a sick amount of cloves to make a difference. I don't remember the amount in each capsul, but with the little ones I take, me and my dad see real results when we take about 20 a day. And yeah, the bottle will say take 2-3, but that's for daily cardiovascular health maintenance.

The garlic at such a dose won't harm you, though a little heartburn is possible (never happens to me though). The vitamin C even at 8 grams is only 4% the amount needed for even potential toxicity.
