okay well in miami, if it's your first offence-you can't use a public defender.

thankfully, the cop did not show so the case was dismissed.

on my second one.... lol( i used to go to clubs alot)
i got a lawyer but he didnt do anything except maybe get me a hardship liscence but that expired.
in my trial he didnt do SHIT.. just told me to accept the plea bargin(or whatever) and it got reduced to "Reckless Driving"
which i could have done myself
it's standard procedure when the officer does not show to offer a plea bargin

but i since I got arrested with D.U.I i had to pay a bunch of shit and take some classes..... probation... all toghether it was like 3000...that I didnt have lol

my advice to you is to talk to lawyers about the laws in california.
laws about DUI charges and arrests.
mandatory "punishments" (if they have them in cali)
plea's that are always offered
and generally its wise to push the trial as long as you can....so the officer wont show
this is done by asking the judge for "continuem"(sp)

it sucks man. and it doesnt end. even after the trial.

Im just happy im almost done with mine.

heres the lesson---driving isn't a right

you don't realize what you have, until you lose it

good luck
