Play along...words are just words and if they offend you should be willing to take responsibility for awakening memories with seemingly harmless words. Many of us do not care and are justified in judging someone has "moody" or "bitchy," a dangerous consequence for a loathsome character. Have some empathy and remember back to a time...well, just understand that your tongue, in this case fingers, can hurt especially when they are supported by someone's suffering volition and do not be satisfied in playing the devil's advocate.

Slip, I apologize. I am sure you did all you could and if you regret anything in your life, I believe you would make the effort to change something. Just like any of us would do.
