I put my seeds in a coffee cup with a bit of distilled water and place somewhere warm and dark (like a closet). I ck in 24hours...to see if the water has evaporated or the seeds are cracked. If not, I ck again in twelve to twenty four hours. If cracked I take my pot with watered soil and place the seed with the root tip (becareful if it is out, use your finger to make a litte hole so you don't hurt the tail) in the dirt and the head barely poking out of the soil. I make sure the top of the soil doesn't dry out by misting occasionally, not habitually. Usually sprouts within two days.....I would die waiting a week to see if my seeds were good, lol. I'm impatient too.
