If you have crystals you are flowering.
It is going to be tough to get a clone from a low branch esp with a flowering plant- low branches often are woody and hard to root, and the concentration of auxins is VERY low, and it STILL would have to revert to veg
I'd wait until you get back anyway, because without attention, newly rooted clones don't have much chance- they are pretty delicate for a couple weeks.
Is that rose 'tropicana'? Nice.
If you want to do mothers, it's much less hassle to get a small grow box or closet going indoors.

My plant number one is growing tall getting 3-4 inches per day. On top of my wall I have a chain link fence that goes up an additional 6 feet and so I am sticking those ribbon things to block view as I know it will be poking its head over the top of the wall.
