What is your favorite branch of science?

Physics. I love the idea that if you memorize a few numbers and formulas you can predict physical phenomena. I am also fascinated by frequency and wavelength, I think there are so many answers there.

Human physiology, which goes hand-in-hand with anatomy, is my fave. I also like genetics and microbiology. This is a good thing since I'm in med school. I could do without physics or organic chemistry, frankly, but I've managed to do fine in those, too. I just have to work harder at them, and they involve more mathematical principles, which scares me. Human body science comes to me a lot more easily. Glad to see you like anatomy, too, Burnt Toast!

quick question..micro biology is another term for molecular biology, am i right or mistaken?

because im a biology major, and id like to major in molecular biology if there is such a major. i wanna research disease and stuff so i can be a part of developing cures and vaccines and such.

No. They are different, but there is probably a large crossover between the two, molecular and micro. I'd love to get paid to study bio-informatics, I chose to study an old man's discipline, physics. Not that I regret it that much.

they are VERY VERY close and essentially you will be taking mostly the same classes for either. Except that microbiology you will be getting more towards cellular shit, and molecular, you will be getting more towards biochem and even genetics.

so which route should i choose with this fork in the road..micro or molecular?

as far as i believe, the ultimate goal of mine to be a part of vaccinations and cures are on the cellular level..but this kind of stuff has a lot to do with genetics and such. there are some rna virus', i think, that actually change your dna or something..i dunno.
